Sky Eden@Bedok – Delivering Excellence Through Innovative Solutions
Sky Eden@Bedok, a landmark mixed-use development built by Keong Hong, has overcame complex technical and logistical challenges to achieve timely completion and high-quality standards. Our project management team’s innovative approach to problems solving ensured the project stay on track and ultimately delivering outstanding workmanship and achieving a commendable CONQUAS score.
As 2025 draws to a close, we would like to share an important project milestone - the successful completion of Sky Eden@Bedok.
Sky Eden@Bedok is a landmark mixed-use development located within a dense residential neighbourhood. Despite considerable technical, logistical and site constraints, the project obtained its Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) in September 2025, completing on schedule and to a high standard of quality.
A key challenge of the project was its substructure construction. In accordance with the development’s sustainability objectives, the team kept the existing basement raft slab and retaining walls, thereby substantially minimising demolition waste and reducing embodied carbon.
While environmentally beneficial, this approach introduced substantial engineering challenges, including underpinning works, structural integration and tight construction tolerances within a highly constrained working environment. Successful execution required meticulous planning, innovative construction sequencing and close coordination across consultants, specialists and the wider project team.
During the early stages of construction, particularly at the substructure phase, unforeseen challenges resulted in initial delays. In response, our project team proactively reviewed construction methodologies, strengthened progress monitoring and re-sequenced critical activities to recover lost time. Through disciplined execution, strong teamwork, and collaborative problem-solving with various project partners, we are able to complete the project on schedule.
Beyond schedule performance, Sky Eden@Bedok also achieved commendable CONQUAS scores, reflecting our continued commitment to quality, workmanship and attention to detail, especially across the interior finishing works.
The successful delivery of Sky Eden@Bedok is a testament of Keong Hong’s technical capability, resilience and commitment to sustainability and excellence in the built environment.
